• The Wildlife Rehabilitation Center of Northern Utah is looking for a volunteer to assist with front desk duties, including greeting individuals, database management and light housekeeping. A minimum of one four-hour afternoon shift (1 to 5 pm) on Tuesday, Thursday and/or weekends would be required.

• The YCC Family Crisis Center is looking for new volunteers. YCC has plenty of positions available, including working as a receptionist at the front desk reception, shooting photos, writing content for our newsletter and website, being an advocate, helping with building maintenance or office work, assisting with special events, sorting and organizing donations in our warehouse or basement, helping with housekeeping in our main kitchen or child care center, and much more.

• The Bear River Migratory Bird Refuge is looking for volunteers to help with facilities and grounds maintenance, to assist in the bookstore and to fill in as a substitute ranger.

• The Ogden Bicycle Collective is looking for volunteers who want to learn how to, or who currently have the knowledge and skills to repair bicycles. The collective repairs bikes and gives them to children and adults who are in need.

• The Ogden Police Department is looking for a volunteer who can answer phones and help with filing.

• Union Station is looking for individuals who have skills in maintaining vintage cars to help with the station’s antique car collection. These are all pre-1940 vehicles, so volunteers must have a car maintenance skill set, not just a desire to tinker.

• The Ogden Nature Center is looking for a volunteer who has knowledge of gardening. The nature center also needs someone to coordinate its summer volunteer program, which runs 10 weeks.

• The Foster Grandparent Program is looking for an individual who would like to contact stores, doctors, pharmacies, etc., and distributing promotional material in Weber and Davis counties this summer to promote the program. Mileage reimbursement is available.

• Roads to Independence is looking for volunteer receptionist/clerical help. Need to fill 20-30 hours per week. Duties include answering phones, filing and assisting the office manager.

• McKay-Dee Hospital is in need of volunteers willing to serve at least one four-hour shift per week. Volunteers assist patients and visitors while providing a positive, healing experience in the hospital. Many shifts and positions are available.

• Brigham City Community Hospital is looking for volunteers 18 and older to help with the front desk and other activities. Your commitment is four hours per week for at least six months. Volunteers must pass a background check and have a flu shot and TB test. Training is provided.

• Big Brothers Big Sisters of Utah is seeking retirees to mentor children ages 6-18 who are facing adversity. As little as six to eight hours per month can help kids avoid risky behaviors, do better in school and have positive relationships with family and peers. All mentors undergo background screenings, and must be able to volunteer six to eight hours per month for one year.

• Peery’s Egyptian Theater is looking for volunteer ushers to assist with afternoon and evening events.

• Volunteer food servers are needed in Davis and Weber County Senior Centers. Meals are served daily from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Volunteers can serve every day or once a week.

• The Weber County Animal Shelter needs individuals to assist with kennel cleaning, cat socialization, dog walking and general cleaning.

• The Union Station Museum is looking for volunteers to provide a visitor-friendly learning experience. Volunteers will be placed at the ticket counter or serve as guides to answer questions and monitor displays. Shifts are 3.5 hours.

• Court Appointed Special Advocates needs volunteers. CASA allows people to help neglected and abused children in the community. Volunteers must be at least 21, pass a background check, and be willing to serve five to 10 hours a month. Training is provided.

• The Ogden Nature Center is looking for volunteers to help in the upcoming weeks with habitat restoration, invasive weed clearing and seeding of native grasses and flowers.

• A Center for Grieving Children is in need of volunteers of all ages. This is a non-profit organization that works with children, teens and their family’s experiencing a loss because of death, divorce or separation. The center trains all new volunteers.

• The Tremonton Food Pantry needs help Monday and Tuesdays from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Volunteers must be able to lift 25 pounds.

• Drivers 55 and older are needed in Davis and Weber counties to transport isolated senior citizens to grocery stores and doctor’s appointments. You must pass an FBI fingerprint check through the RSVP program. Mileage reimbursement is available.

• The Senior Companion Program is looking for individuals 55 and older who are living on moderate to low incomes to serve as companions and friends to homebound individuals in the community. Mileage, training and a small stipend are available.

• Davis RSVP is looking for veterans to partner with them in an effort to recruit other veterans for volunteer service in the community.

• Elder Abuse Prevention Volunteer Educators are needed in Davis County. Individuals will assist with distributing information regarding prevention in the community at events such as senior centers, fairs, and support groups. Training will be provided. Must pass FBI check and drug screening.

• Heritage Park Care Center in Roy is looking for a volunteer to work two to four hours a week in its gift shop.

• Habitat for Humanity is looking for volunteers to help in its ReStore. Volunteers will help make repairs to donated items and assist with pricing and stocking.

• RSVP in Davis, Weber, Morgan and Box Elder counties needs individuals to make a weekly telephone call to frail homebound clients. You must pass a fingerprint check. If you or someone you know would like to receive a phone call, please contact Weber Human Services.

• Are you great a wood carving? Would you love to teach others? Riverdale City is looking for someone to teach a wood carving class at their senior center. Materials and tools are provided.

• Washington Terrace Senior Center is looking for volunteers to teach art, ceramics, porcelain and line dancing. classes Classes are taught once a week and last one to three hours.
